All we really want to know is that we matter, and we are making a difference in the lives of others. This fuels employees and the army of volunteers that serve in our organizations. As a leader, there are strategies you can implement in our virtual world to build significant relationships. We have to create meaningful exchanges now so when we move from virtual to in-person projects, we've got a foundation of trust and commitment. Hit the pause button and join us for this session. Our goal is to get you engaged and inspired to put energy into your relationships so your organization can achieve its mission. We will:
  • Create opportunities to check in on your key volunteers (not just when you need something from them)
  • Brainstorm simple (and inexpensive!) tactics to recognize their work
  • Develop ways to engage volunteers socially in a virtual world

Meet Our Trainer: Becky Lunders, teamWorks

Consultant and trainer Becky Lunders brings experience in the nonprofit, corporate, and media sectors.  She honed her leadership development skills while at the American Cancer Society. Becky knows how to train, motivate and inspire volunteers and staff to reach strategic goals while fulfilling the organizational mission. Leadership development occurs at all levels and Becky believes in growing this skill set whole-heartedly.

Becky is a dynamic facilitator and coach. Her volunteer management experience comes from many sources.  Most notably was her work to oversee Relay for Life in California for the American Cancer Society.  This event grew from 24 events raising $4.1 million to 300+ events raising $31 million while under her watch.  And many of us know, this is done through successful volunteer management strategies.
